Keep your eyes on Jesus.
In Hebrews 12 it says, “Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God.”
The writer of Hebrews encourages you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is your Vision, your Dream. When you don’t know where you are going any road will take you there. From time to time we all loose direction.
Without vision people perish.
This refers not so much to a physical lack of vision as to a spiritual blindness, a lack of true Life. When you know true, deep fulfillment in life it is partly because you carry within yourself a sense of direction. You know the destination, where this journey will take you.
Jesus started off with the End in mind.
God was His Vision, His Fulfillment, His End. His journey took turns and twists, but His sight was continuously re-aligned towards His End, towards God.
Your journey is towards Him. Your End is Jesus Himself. You might from time to time loose sight of where you are going. Often sin has the power to steal your vision. I want to encourage you to look up every now and then and look at Him. He is the Direction, the Lighthouse who indicates the direction of where you should be heading.
If you have lost sight of where all this is going.
If it is currently dark around you. If you lost touch with the Vision of your life, re-connect with Him. His eternal love for you will again and again flow to you. Lift your head and look at the Dream, the Vision of your life and He will become your Direction.
You will not be lost when your eyes are fixed on your Way. Be of good cheer, if you can read here there is Hope for you to be restored back to the Vision of your life. It is still not the end of the road for you. Jesus has not lost touch with the dream of your life.
He is and wants to be your Dream and He is eternal.
He beckons you to come, just as you are.
